To Track or Not -- Need Your Thoughts Band Buddies
Thanks for the input. I'm on a serious stall my body LOVES the weight I'm at and I need a push forward... this 12 week summer challenge I'm in is suppose to help me get not back on track per say but make me more accountable ...measure my food again, make good food choices..get to the gym more often etc.
You know my thoughts on this already...LOL. I log each and every bite of everything, every day on myfitnesspal (used to use a hard journal but switched to online about 4 months ago). I have done this since day one after surgery so it is a habit I've established and I don't know different. But I don't allow myself the mindset of "using up leftover calories/fat/carbs." If I have eaten my 6-8 meals and am not physically hungry, I take the loss. I also refuse to obsess over numbers, just make sure I am within my "safe range" for maintenance (or in your case, weight loss). I find that just by knowingly making proper choices, all of the numbers fall exactly where they are supposed to be every day.
It's about finding that balance and figuring out what works for YOU, which it seems you have done Lis because your weigh-in yesterday resulted in a nearly 8-lb loss!! But if you are not happy, switch it up until you are in "the zone" and losing steadily and happily without obsessing. :)

I guess I'm weird, but I love writing in my little green journal! I really like to be able to look back and see what I've done each day since surgery. I'm just obsessive that way. I say--Do whatever works for you. I'm old school, so I like to see it in black and white. You friends are much younger than I am, so you like "techie" devices more than I do.
