Yeah, that's a good way to look at it, I don't have a choice. Haha. But, that doesn't mean it will be easy. I start tomorrow and am enjoying real food today. I know their will be foods I cannot eat after the band so I've indulged. With the RNY everythIng was possible. Thanks again

I have a hard time believing you aren't hungry? Really? Were the first few days the worst?

I was SO nervous about my pre-op diet but it actually turned out be kind of great for several reasons.  I did find a really filling protein drink that I liked a lot so that was good but for the first few days I was kind of hating life.  Then on about the 4th day it was like a switch flipped and I felt like a million bucks.

I think part of that was my body adjusting a little bit and being much happier running on huge doses of protein instead of sugar and carbs (which... let's be honest... are pretty much the same thing).

But the real kicker and the thing that made me get through the whole 2 weeks with no problem at all was when I stepped on the scale at the end of the first week and had dropped 12 pounds.  TWELVE POUNDS.  In ONE WEEK.  Talk about a boost of motivation.  That was all I needed to get me through to my surgery.

Good luck!!!

Yeah, in addition to the shakes Im buying for tomorrow, Im buying a new scale.  Thanks!  It will be like the RNY days where I'd lose 5-10lbs a week!
