Oy...I am glad it is over with, but I feel like crap.  I had a newer surgery, the bandication with dr. Cottam in Salt Lake City.  It is the Imbrication with a band.  It was supposed to be same-day, but I was throwing up as soon as I woke from my surgery and they were trying to give me water.  I spent the night and am glad to be home!  My incisions don't hurt too bad, actually, I just feel like I have a constant stomach ache.  At what point do I start to feel normal?

Anyone else have this newer surgery?

Sorry I don't know anything about your particular surgery, so not sure when you may feel normal.  Hope you do soon.  You might need to educate us a bit about your surgery.  Keep us informed.

Thanks for your support.  The imbrication is a new surgery using the EndoFlip technology.  My surgeon is one of the few in the US that performs this particular surgery.  He adds a band to it for insurance purposes and that works well because when the weight loss slows, I can get a fill.  I actually hope to not ever need a fill. If you go to youtube and search for Dr. Cottam, you can see him perform the surgery.  It is quite fascinating, actually.

I did shower today and my incisions look pretty good, plus I did my hair, so that was a bonus!  Here's hoping I feel better tomorrow!

I don't understand what surgery you had either but what I can say is this...with ANY surgery it just takes time! Every day will be better for you. As you begin to lose the weight it will be better then you can imagine!
Good luck and take it easy. btw, define normal? LOL
