This is going way too slow!!!!
I really thought the whole experiance with getting my band would be much worse than it has been! The pain wasn't as bad, the lack of sleep was tolerable, the liquid diet well......I could do without having any more days of that even though I have 7 more to go before I can move to whole liquids. I must say I am ready to begin my new life! I look at the before and after photos of others with much hope. I am so glad and overcome with happiness for all of those people on here brave enough to share their story to give someone like me that hope! Then again I was ready...and some may never be. I am glad I wasn't afraid of taking a chance because by taking that chance I have given not only myself life but extending my life to my children, my husband, and my friends. If I had given up and decided not to take on this difficult task I would never have realized how precious life is and how much more precious it is to live healthy! So for me this time is going way too slow I am ready bring it on!! I stand in the fast lane ready to embrace my life.......once I have healed of course and this does take time. I will be patient to allow this wonderful tool to do it's job and to help me become me. Thank you everyone who gives of themselves on this website you are to be proud of yourselves and proud that you all help each other along the way on the magical journey we all are traveling and luckily we have each other so we do not face it alone!!!!
What a wonderful post from a new bandster! You have the best attitude about your decision and this will take you a long way towards reaching your personal goals and a new life of health and happiness. The first 2 years after being banded I was on this board at least once a day, but usually more., I got more info and support from this place than anywhere else on my journey, that includes my local support group.
I know from a previous post that you are going through "Bandster Hell" right now. Just keep the faith and this wonderful attitude and you will be fine! I'm looking forward to tracking your progress on this board and seeing pictures of the new you!
