Any day I can say Im doing that, I suppose is a good day .

I am:

Calm
Focused
Hungry!
Less sunburnt

Im trying hard not to scratch my iv site and start the hives back up but ooooooooh she got me good the other day and it itches.

I have much to do requiring , as usual, a lot of driving in some Jersey Shore holiday traffic. I prepare myself ahead, reminding myself that there will be long waits in miles of bumper to bumper traffic as always...I used ot get so angry with the traffic and the tourists going crazy and driving dangerously until I realized I was angry because I kept expecting it to be different or that my balking at it would somehow change them/it. And yet it happens every holiday without fail...so how about I try some acceptance? Traffic doesnt bother me nearly as much as it used to, and I lay out extra time for it on the weekends. I make phone calls (on my speaker phone lol...I promise not to talk and drive)etc in long stops and wear cool clothing.

My focus remains much like yesterday, my intake of fluids and timing of them with my eating and meds.

Whats on your agenda and do you have any words of wisdom, ideas or cries of frustration?

I hope you have a great day!

Laughing about your commentary on the traffic.  I live on Cape Cod and today is the first day of tourist season.  I completely forgot and took the main road to go to the next town...A 5 minute trip took 30 minutes...EEK!!!  My sage words of wisdom is to be grateful for the tourists.  They power the economy here on the cape.  I bet it's like that on the Shore too!!  It helps to put it in the perspective...without tourists, there would be no job's.

Have a great day!

Joni

I try to remember that, but having been in careers that had nothing to do with tourism, I resented the way many tourists treat our area. I once watched two trash bags of garbage get hoisted out of a moving car onto the high way where they exploded. We spend nine months cleaning up our forest only to have "guest" treat our home so crassly come summer. Im not saying all tourists are like that, Im aware they arent, many wonderful people come down and act like they would want someone to act in their neighborhood. I guess seeing cars flying 75 miles an hour through a 45 mile an hour residential zone just makes me wonder why our childrens safety isnt as important as theirs in their neighborhoods?

Whew--didnt expect that rant!!

The traffic is the least of my worries, huh? lol

Time to go pray good things on the tourists and make a gratitude list!
