Do you follow the no drinking for 30-60 minutes after eating a snack?

I do for the most part... the only time I drink with a meal is when its an occasional glass of wine with dinner... and then I usually sip it.

I only wait 20-30 minutes after a meal/snack to start drinking my water again.

You should probably wait the 30 minutes if possible to allow the information to reach your brain that your stomach has something in it.  :)

If you're far enough out from surgery to know how your body reacts, or if you can deal with being hungry and not eating again until mealtime.. go ahead and drink sooner.

Sometimes I wait 20 minutes, sometimes I don't.

 yup
I figure if you snack cause your hungry you should wait so your pouch stays full.
Just my take on it.

I typically wait about 25-30 minutes after eating anything whether its a meal or a snack.  I rarely snack though.  If I do have a bite of something, like a sample at a store or if I steal a bite from my hubbys plate, then I tend to ignore the waiting part.
