Good question! I know I still THINK about food, but luckily I can satiate hunger by eating just a little... but FooD is still in the back of my mind...

For me the head hunger never goes away.  I feel it's part of my food addiction.  I am fairly certain for me it won't ever go away.  That's why they say "once an alcoholic always an alcoholic" because the urge is always there.  That's how I feel...the urge to eat is always there.

I'm a little over a year out.  I have head hunger. Just thought it was me.  It espcially hits when I am home not doing much.  Doesn't bother me when I'm out and other people are eating.  Strange

The mental hunger does not go away. That is how we got to this place. BUT, as you lose more weight, you understand yourself better, and fight to stay thinner. I have also noticed the head hunger comes quickly, feels urgent, but also can go away if you change what you are doing. Lately I do a few leg lifts or take a short walk, then re=group.
