2 Days till` Surgery - I'm so anxious.....
Hi everyone.... I've got two days left until my surgery on Friday. I've been on clear liquids all week and I just can't wait for this to be over. I couldn't sleep last night....tried reading more information about the surgery, wondering if I've really made the right decision. Isn't it just awfull the things that go through your head at night???? I am so thankful for all of you out there. It has made the first part of my journey so much easier.
Bless you all and I'll keep you posted!! Barb

You'll do fine. Just think of how much healthier that you'll be. My surgery is July 7th, so I have a way to go yet. Good luck and God Bless!
Hi Barb,
It is nerve-wracking isn't it? Exciting and scarey at the same time. Soon it will be all over and you'll wonder what you were so nervous about. I thought it was an easy recovery. My husband just had his band surgery 2 weeks ago and he had never had surgery in his 62 yrs!!! Even he thought it was an easy time. The worse part is not being able to eat. Soon the weight will be dropping off of you and you'll be starting a whole new journey. Just do what you are told to do and you will be fine. Though it may be true that you will be "dieting" the rest of your life, (that is...eating healthy) having the band makes it so much easier. For me, the food obession left along with my desire for sweets. Yes, I have had some tougher times but all in all, sooo much easier than doing "just weigh****chers" for example. I am very happy with mjy progress and pray the same for you.

From one Barbara to another, it's absolutely normal to feel all the feelings you're feeling. The anxiety, fear, excitement, etc. You're on the threshold of becoming a healthier you.
And you're also right - this forum is filled (mostly) with really great, supportive people. I too, am grateful to be part of it.
You'll be in my prayers this week. So excited for you!!!
