Hello Banders,

I had a band fill early this week and felt restiction for the first time.  MAJOR restriction!  I thought I was going to have to call and make an appointment to remove some fill. THEN, suddenly, 4 days later, I feel little to no restiction for a meal.

Can the felling of fullness come and go?

CAn't wait to here if you've had this experience- is it normal?

After a fill, it's common for swelling to occur.  The swelling goes away over time; hence your lack of restriction after 4 days.

Totally normal.  Don't fret.

If you can't eat dense protein on Monday, call your surgeon.  The swelling from you fill should be gone so if you can't eat, you're too tight.  Trust me, it's not worth it!

Take care,

Totally normal, Whisperer!  As Janine explained, the swelling from the fill goes down and will generally loosen up.  Also, you should note that as you get further out and lose weight later on, your insides shrink too and that can cause your band to suddenly loosen up, requiring another fill.  But that is a good thing, right? Good luck. :)
