Things went well.  I came home today.  I think I may not be hydrating enough.  But I am still sooo sleepy, I am sleeping so much!  Some port and Left shoulder pain, but the pain meds are helping.  Hope everyone is having a great day!

Keep hydrated.  The sleepiness will go.  And have a Happy Birthday!  Your journey has begun.

That's great news!  I'm glad everything went smothly.  Hey, just sleep...you need to heal and rest anyhow. Also, for the pain, try a heating pad if you have one.  It REALLY helped me, especially with the gas pain in my left shoulder.  Be sure to get your water in (sip, sip, sip) and take as many mini-walks as you can.  It will help alleviate the gas.  Thanks for the update Babs!

I slept a lot my first couple of days at home because a) I could, and b) the pain meds knocked me out.  Enjoy it!  But don't forget to get up and walk around the house or the yard just to help get rid of the trapped gas.

The main reason for my post is to wish you a Happy Birthday!  Gotta do it now before Doomsday hits.  Hopefully you're celebrating a day early LOL!

Good luck with everything...

I agree that you need to get up and walk as much as you can and try some Gas X for the gas. It helped me a lot as did the heating pad.
Just take one day at a time, and before you know it, the weight will be melting away!
Welcome and Cheers!

Welcome to the losers bench! Just get in as much fluid as you can when you are awake. Use that heating pad which may help you enough that you can reduce your pain meds some. That will allow you to be awake more. I slept a ton, too. Do the best you can, walk lots, and relax.

Thanks Everyone!  Second day was better.  But I think I over did it.  With 3 small kids it is hard to just sit and not do something.  I am trying to get my sips in.  Keep working at it again tomorrow.  I just don't feel hungry or thirsty... I have glasses of water everywhere... that way when I see it, I sip it.  Thanks for the birthday and well wishes.... talk to you all soon!
