Can too much protein keep me from losing?

My doctor told me the other day that "you could eat a whole cow" and it wouldn't make you fat. It's the potatoes and the carbs that we eat WITH the cow that makes us fat.  Now, I'm not thinking that I want to start eating whole cows, of course!

I think your body will go through periods where it just wants to hold on to the pounds and then you'll find yourself on a losing spree.

I think it depends how much more protien your eating.  IMHO if it's about a 100 or less your fine.  I have read that if enough protien is taken in, it raises your blood sugar- just like those evil carbs do.  As others have said, you are just at the beggining, let yourself heal and try to be patient.  Good luck!

Thank you all for your input and encouragement.  I really appreciate all you told me.  I've decided to only weigh myself once a week, and to stop obsessing about the scale.
One day at a time, and one meal at a time, and I WILL reach my goal!
