Support

I have been on this board for over 4 years and have seen some very fun times and also times were Lapbanders were being viciously attacked by others, and of course the infighting crap. 

My wish is that this board would remain a place where people can come to get inspired, share ideas and feel free to ask questions about possible band issues.  I guess I live in dreamland, but can we please TRY to have that kind of place? 

I know that when I had my slip, I felt very comfortable posting about it here....I got a lot of support and well wishes.  When I have had major successes, I have shared and felt great with the happy replies.  When I have struggled, I might have kept to myself out of my own shame at first, but after posting here, I always received support and encouragement.

I just don't see enough of that anymore.  For the past several months things have gone off track.  Can we please go back to having fun???

i think this place FINALLY became one to accept those with problems.
you were VERY lucky for the support you got & others after you with your slip.

when i had my first one - well the ******g crows that are probably posting on the grad board now "tried" to crucify me.   i'm not easy to knock over nor do i give power to strangers.

all the problem posts - get followed up immediately with "who loves their band" threads without taking a breath.

in light of recent threads - it's insulting to help someone that won't help them self, rather start thread after thread looking for an answer they want VS what's provided.

btw - i'm glad those who treated others like **** in the past, no longer post.

it's cyclical - someone will stall, someone will be stuck, someone has an NSV.    it should be a place for all.

ps - good post, i had no problem w/it....but thought i'd express my view of this forum over the 5+yrs here.

I am sorry that YOU didn't receive support when your band slipped.  I would hope that if someone had a bad experience, they would make sure that they be there to offer support someone else, as to not perpetuate a bad situation.  I am sure you do just that. 

I try to put a comment on ALL threads where someone has a possible or confirmed slip.  I remember being very scared anytime I felt like my band wasn't working the way that it should. 

As I stated, I know this place hasn't been perfect 100% of the time.....I just wi**** was better than it currently is.

This place is just fine.

People who are having problems with their bands are starting to speak out. In the past they were chased off the forum. Now everyone can come here to get support whether they LOVE their bands or not.

This forum is where newbies come to get information on the lap band and we just want to make sure they hear both sides equally.

If you are referring to: Tiffany B AKA VIMMI,Tricia,TBaker,vimm0128....It's been PROVEN they are ALL one and the SAME...

I got support when I had my band slip.  I have always felt comfortable to post issues I have had with my band, but I also know the board has not always been supportive of those that have  had issues with their band.  That being said....

 What I don't like is the numerous threads bashing one person.......whether or not they are a fraud or legitimate.....just get disouraging when so much of the board is devoted to that. 

I got support when my band slipped too Melly, but many others have not. I can give you the name of one bandster in particular who places the blame of a failed band onto the bandster......any guesses ? No worries, I'll share her name with you. It's Naomi/Nana/Nablowme.

Naomi/Nana/Nablowme is very fond of bashing bandsters who are ( to her warped sense of thinking )
" Failing their band"s "

There are certain threads I just don't open because either I can't stand the poster or I'm not interested in the topic. It would behoove you and others to either use your block button or don't open the threads that you don't like the poster(s) or you are not interested in.

I do customize this forum, always have.....that's why I can't remember the last time I participated in board drama, I normally ignore it.  However, several threads in a row about the girl in Florida was just enough to make me sad for the direction this board has taken recently.  I have no idea if she was a scam artist or just not to bright by not going to the ER.....I just know it seemed beneath you guys to keep dragging it on like that.  That's all. 

I can go back to ignoring, just pleaing for the board to go back to a time and place where I didnt have to ignore half of the threads.

" **** Off " I have a wicked sense of humor and I thought it was funny.

She brought it on herself when she made up the troll account and then again by directing us to her post on the other forum.
