NSV and guilt?
So I just ran a mile on my elliptical in 13 minutes and 15 seconds. That is a NSV for me as I haven't run a mile in any amount of time since I was in HS. The guilty part comes in the form of what exercise I choose. For instance I recently bought an elliptical and love working out on it (my goal last week was 3 miles total - this week 3.25 miles/week). Every time I get into a workut groove I read an article or just get it in my head that my workout just isn't good enoug - too little cardio, not enough time, not enough musle groups, etc. Right now I am still working out of a complete motivation breakdown that started early last year and I tell myself that some exercise is better than no exercise but I still feel...guilty enjoying my workout when I know I should be doing more. Thoughts?

Listen, you are doing great! You are moving and exercising like you should be. We are our own worse enemies when it comes to our "self-talk". When that little critical voice starts up again, just remind yourself of all the positive things that you ARE doing right now. Besides, there are a lot of trainers out there who think loving your workout really helps to keep you motivated and it sounds like you love yours! Hang in there and start saying some nice things to yourself! Look how far you have come!!
