So happy you are feeling better :)    My kids are 17 and 23 yrs....I can NOT imagine doing it again!   Thankfully, my tubes are tied  now  so no worries about that anymore. Anyway, even before my surgery my TOM has erratic but probably since I'm 48 because it was always regular up until a year ago.

I'm happy, too, that you got the result you wanted!  I have twin boys that are 17 and a 16 year old daughter.............wait...wait for it....AND a 7 year old daughter.  I had my tubes tied after the 16 year old was born...NINE years later - PREGNANT!  I had all those mixed feelings as well....but now that she's here and such a joy - I don't know what I would do without her.

I'm a true believer in that everything happens for a reason!

Have a great day,

Hi Tiffany - when you are trying to eat, are you literally taking pea-sized bites and chewing until it is a pureed/liquid consistency?  Have you tried drinking a cup of hot tea before you eat to prime your band?  Just wanted to provide some suggestions for you.

I would also never drink soda.  There is a reason carbonation is forbidden in the post-op protocol.  Well, glad to hear you are not preggers.  That's the last thing you need with all of these problems and no medical insurance, huh? I bet you're SO relieved. :)  Good luck.

Lisa,
I've never been a hot tea drinker...at least I never was prior to the lap band. Since then my taste buds have changed dramatically so I think I should try it. I only really drink protein shakes, water, milk, coffee, and crystal light. LOL NOT all in the same day. On occasion I love Tropical Smoothie but even their low fat stuff has a ton of calories so it's not often, more like a treat every few months. As for soda that is the first I have had in almost 5 years. Well before my surgery. I got a 20 oz took about 7 sips total and it's been sitting in the fridge since. WAY TOO SWEET I was bouncing off the walls the rest of the day.

I've been able to eat everyday since. Last night I even ate a pork chop which I normally have issues with pork products. And yes, itty bitty bites and I chew FOREVER until it literally dissolves completely or becomes so liquified it loses all taste.
