Im failing!
It takes awhile to develope healthy habits. Now limiting the food is very difficult with no restriction. As far as the drinks, you grab a drink with meals out of habit. Maybe put a post-it note on the cabinet that has the glasses saying "30 mins. after meals" to remind u?
Once you get used to the no drinking with or after meals it's no big deal, most of the time. but during the time that you are trying to establish new eating habits can be difficult. U will get used to it thouogh, and then u will seldom think of drinks during meals!
Good luck!

Oh poor you, we all have times like that I think.....I'm sure you'll get back on track soon. I did really well without much restriction but now I have 8.75 in a 10ml band & I truely know what the band is capable of now, which is to fill me up after a very small plate of food.
Good luck with getting back on track!

You are not failing, you've just taken a detour.
Here's an idea: Make a list of the reasons you want to lose weight. Not just in your head, write them down. Post them where you can see them daily.... in several places. I'd suggest that you make the first one "Because I AM WORTH IT". Or you can google for "100 reasons to lose weight" if you don't want to make your own list.
Start measuring your food and only putting that much on your plate at home. Tell yourself you can have more IF you're still hungry 20 minutes after your meal. If you're eating out, get a to-go box right away and put at least half of your meal away at the beginning.
Maria is right, until you get enough fill to dim your appetite, it's difficult. Don't beat yourself up. If beating ourselves up worked, the world would be full of bruised thin people. Stop being mad at yourself and just get back on track. :) Find one change you can make and do it. When it becomes a habit, make another change.
Hang in there!!

Renee,
I have them days to. I'm horrid during the week before my period . I eat anything and to much of it.
I was very bad this weekend . Things like this happen it dont mean at all you are failing . there is not one single person on this board that can say I eat healthy ;100% of the time 7 days a week , 365 days of the yr if they say that then they are lying lol.
Ask yourself these questions before you jump to get a fill or thinking about getting a fill .
Is it close to your period
Are you stressed about something
Are you going through something that makes you want to eat
Are you sabotaging yourself because you have been successful and that scares you ? (believe it or not that happens to me to ) When I was close to hitting my 50 I did the same thing.
Sometimes just because you can eat more then a cup of food dont mean you need to run and get a fill all the time. Heck I can eat more then a cup of food at meals if I wanted to even with good restriction. You cant always rely on the band you need to have self control and will power also because one of these days the band might not be there, that is just a reality we know that about the band.
Go back to your basics especially with waiting to drink. I bet if you go back to your 30-60 min of waiting you will see a huge difference in how long your food stays in your stomach.
Do one thing at a time so its no so overwhelming to you and you will be just fine :o)
Good Luck Renee you can do it :o)

Oh Renee.... you just have to get back on the wagon. Thats all. We all have hiccups. We all fall off from time to time. For the majority of us, I think we work in cycles. You can't be awesome in your efforts 100% of the time. So allow yourself the last 2 weeks and start again with the basics.
Stock your cabinets, take a walk and measure if you need to.
It might be time to see the MD for a check up. These check ups are more than just physical. The mental journey needs to be accessed as well. Do you have a nutritionist?
Good Luck!!!
BTW- Do you have a before and during picture yet. It helps to motivate if you can see just how far you've come.
