Thanks to those of you who proved my point! This is such a shame, read what you are saying. Shouldn't we be here for support and not to rip each other down. Haven't we had enough bullying in life to have to deal with it while trying to become healthy? I am sorry that the band didn't work for some of you. Please keep in mind that it is and has worked for others.

I will say this, I remember the first time I read a post from someone blasting the post, it's made me so mad. But then, I realized it doesn't work for everyone and that people should explain their own story, that is helpful, even to me. But there are some folks that just to an entirely ugly level, and it's those people who make it difficult to log on.

I have to admit if I was newly banded and these forums was like the way they are NOW...I would not participate with such hostility going on. You need to be in a real online support enviornment where you can concentrate on your weigh loss goals, the devils have taken over these forums. Obesity Help has gone way down in activity and most of the good people are gone. If you want continued online support I would suggest you visit these lap band forums.

There are many lap band forums dedicated only to lap band patients, I am not here for support , "thank god" my journey is over, I usually pop in to help others and correct band bashers.

This thread rocks.  Several of the major idiots all in one place.  It makes house cleaning a lot easier.  Look at the bright side....you could be going through life as them and being as pathetic as they are.  Just another example of how  life could be so much worse then it is.

I often feel the same way. I go to the other sites mentioned because these poor little women make me want to cry. I'll name them, spec. Maria, pumpkin X.. And their minions (Janine, MisCalCulator) that rally to their defense. They make me want to cry because the poor things have some serious mental issues that are obviously not being addressed. They are ignorant and arrogant. Maria is certainly a narcissist by definition. I doubt anyone respects their opinion, not because of their story, but because they are exhausting. Their vile propaganda is exhausting to read and respond to. Funny how the board can be going good for a couple days and one of them has to post some trouble making post. Just think what their real life must be like. It’s sad to think about. I’m sure you know several people like them.

I love posts from HisLady, N.M. and OSogrande because they have tact. I read every post of theirs to hear the risks, because I need to. I appreciate the info. and have the upmost respect for their opinion. There are other wonderful posters on this board that post the risks and offer support. I find inspiration by people like Bette, Elena, Lisa O, Steph and many others. Just pay attention to them.

As for the other certifiable kooks, don’t waste your breath. Everyone on here has tried at some point. Just block or ignore. They don’t get it. They don’t get that it’s all in the presentation. They ARE bullies!! They use their BIG RED WORDS and trash bagger potty mouth to make us feel like idiots. Call it a day and rise above their ignorance. The rest of the crew is here for you.
