I love the gummy mulit vitamins, but I heard that you're not supposed to have those with the band. Is this true? Do any of you take the gummies?  Thanks!

I wouldn't take them, just like I don't chew gum.  I wouldn't wan't it to block my stoma and get stuck.  I use Flinstone's Complete per my surgeon.  My lab work has all been normal,so they are working just fine.

Thanks, Kristi. I am also taking the Flintstones now, but I prefer the gummies in flavor. I thought that maybe I could chew the gummies well enough, but I better not take a chance.

I was also told to stay away from the gummy ones.  I like the chewable multi-vitamins from Trader Joe's.

I never heard that you werent supposed to take them with the band....I have taken them in the past..but they didnt have all the minerals and some of the vitamens that are in the chewables...so I stopped.  I do think I was more consistant with the gummys..because they tasted better! I have been horrible about taking my vitamins..so I wonder if it wouldnt be better to take the gummys...better than nothing.  Why are they bad for lap banders?

because they are soo chewy it's hard to break them down and dissolve might cause a stuck esposide.. also gum or chewy like gummy bear can cause gas in some people... because of the air that can be sucked in.

Any kind of nsaid....aleve..advil...there may be more...those give me heartburn ..bigtime.  They can be really hard on the tummy....I actually take vicodin for cramps..(tylenol does nothing for me...aside from headaches.) I used to looove advil..it was my go to drug for cramps...if I could find something else that works besides a perscription..i would...even tried liqued motrin...but that gave me heartburn too!

I use them.  I don't chew them but let them dissolve in my mouth; my treat of the day.
