Move, Breakdown, and trying to get back on the wagon.
I am not sure what all to put here and what I am hoping to be the result. I was a slow loser but on my way to close to 100 by my 1 year when I moved. I moved to Madison, WI to be close to family became overwhelmed, both by my new job and my lack of friends up here and ate badly. I have continued to go to the gym so I have managed to NOT gain anything but have not lost in about 6 months. I finally FINALLY found a new doctor who will see me so that I can start getting fills again. I just feel so lonely with no support... in Florida I had tons of weight loss friends and it helped me stay on track. I think getting back on here will be a good step in the right direction.
Also if you are from the Madison area and know where to go to meet some people for a support group please let me know.
How do you get back on the eating bandwagon when in my mind I am always hungry? Advice? Suggestions?
THANK YOU! I wish I would have never disapeared from the site.
The fact that you haven't gained any weight back is awesome and shows that you are stronger than you may believe!
I would highly recommend working with a therapist that specialized in compulsive overeating. It has really helped me with the issues I have around emotional eating. It's just another tool like having a band.
Give it a try!

I have really been considering that because the food feels out of control when the rest of my life is complicated. I am looking for a Dr for this as well. Unfotrunately I have had to go to Chicago to find a Dr that will see me for my band hopefully a Psychologist will be easier to find local. :)
Anyway, I agree with Lisa that counseling could be a big help. I know exactly what you mean about the food feeling out of control when the rest of your life is complicated. Been there, done that. And I think finally having a new surgeon (even having to go to Chicago to see him/her) and get a fill will help you - you won't feel so alone, and you won't be the first patient they've seen who's struggling with stress and emotional eating issues.
Hang in there!

Your so lucky you didn't gain... I did.. 20 BIG O Pounds but I got 11 off.. I had some hard times and I went back to old habits and I didn't gym at least you did that.. Lisa is right your stronger than you think....
I would start tracking your food myfitnesspal and then you will be like dang I don't need X or I don't need Y and you might seen some pounds start to come off... you really "think" I'm not eating so bad but once you start counting every bite and nibble ... you realize it's more than you think. If you continue to be hungry as un-appealing as this sounds LOL try filling up on veggies and fruit... If you have to snack ..snack on something that won't dig you a hole caloricly.. like edamane, red bell pepper, celery, cucumbers, mini tomatoes .. mix 1 ranch packet with some greek non fat yogurt and dip to your hearts content.. (I personally try to stay away from carrots because they are sometimes are to get down and they have more calories and sugar compared to cucumbers) .. smart bags of popcorn .. a piece of fruit or make yourself a little fruit salad with some berries and kiwi..
Good Luck and keep posting :)
I will have to try the veggies and greek yogurt dip. I love cucumbers and celery mainly. I downloaded the fitnesspal app for my phone and am starting on that. I remember back in the day we used to do a whats everyone eating today on here, that might be good too. :)
You are doing great with the 11 lbs off before you know it, it will all be off!!
TY
I have two roommates and we are all working different schedules and 1 of them doesnt like any veggies.. so I hardly cook.. I like to cook but I don't have time by the time I get off of work and head to the gym then home.
Costco sells chicken burgers I believe it's 180 a patty.. I love them
I eat 1 patty and 1 bag of edamane that's 280 calories maybe a fruit later or a jello sugar free pudding cup.
Another great option is spicy black bean burgers from Morning star on top of a sandwich thin
a little mayo and slice of american cheese - a great burger alternative.
Sometimes I buy a whole chicken already baked from Costco and shredd it all up - make chicken salad with some... make an egg scramble with some, egg beaters or egg whites, chicken and roma tomatoes and some spinach, with the rest I buy a can of my favorite salsa and heat the chicken and the salsa together a side of some bean - black or refried rosartia beans and it's mexican night LOL
