Low Carb update: 4 pounds in one day!!!! Eating nonstop too!!!
The atkins website is a great resource. They explain everything but basically, you do 2 weeks of 20 carbs or less, and you can't use all your carbs at once by eating a couple of cookies bc that would ruin it. That would spike your blood sugar, which causes a rise in insulin, which causes you to burn those carbs instead of burning your fat reserves. After this phase you start adding in fruits and whole grain carbs gradually and supposedly you keep losing weight. The website has food lists of acceptable foods. They are all the foods that we should be eating anyways!.
