I have been posting often.. I'm not sure if you have all read them or seen them but under my picture hit latest posts and you will see some of what I have written. Long story short I had surgery 2 years ago 106 pounds lost then lost my father gained 20 back and I have lost 11 of those pesky pounds and loads more inches... My band has been my savior in my battle of obesity .. I haven't been perfect my band hasn't been perfect but I have learned more about myself than I knew.. 1. I'm stronger than I realize 2. I have to change inside I had to change my approach to food in order for my outside to change

Here are two pictures of me.. one from 2009 shortly after surgery had already lost some weight and current 2011..

Thanks for sharing your story and pix...do so as often as you like...I'm always glad to see your beautiful smile (and curly hair) and inspired to see how far you've come, especially with the tough job of changing the inner you.

You have the most beautiful smile and I wish I could give you a hug!  So glad you are on this board and I love seeing people's pics!  It makes it more real.  I think it's important for all us to realize that we don't have to be perfect, we just have to keep putting one foot in front of the other.  I read online somewhere  that plateaus are a bit like a traffic jam, eventually you will move forward in your journey.

Congrats on losing 11 of those pesky pounds!  Yay!

Hugs,
Kristi

all the weight has been lost post-op..I LOVE MY BAND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

highest weight: 333 pounds (I know I gained after my last "weigh in" in the doctors office so probably it's more like 340 pounds)
current weight: 151 pounds (7/12/11)
I've been at goal (165 pounds) for 6 months now and now on maintence.  I tend to go up and down depending on time of the month and such!

You are an inspiration! You are a survivor and you are doing what you need to do to get back on track. Thank you for sharing that life after a band has it's challenges and we need strategies to handle them. Hang in there!
