Because they are so overprotective of their surgery choice that they REFUSE to let anyone say anything bad about THEIR choice. 
...or they are so wrapped up in their own experience they can imagine someone would have a different experience...
I get that some people have problems with their choice of WLS...but to go on and on about how a person WILL have their choice of surgery fail them eventually, is just nuts!
as I said, the post on the main board about Lap-band failures was respected by (currently
) successful bandsters...who according to Maria and others will eventually be looking for revisions.
Maria, if you ask a question, be prepared to listen to the answer.

Can you point out to ME where it is that I said lap banders will be looking for revisions ?
I didn't say YOU did as you can see....I only referenced YOUR POST that those of us who are happy with our surgery respected and stayed away from....

This is what is above your thread...thought I was clear about my intent in showing that some of us can stay away when we are not invited to participate....one of Maria's issues is people (ppl) responding to posts where the title specifically excludes them.
Just a couple of examples:

Well it is annoying when you make a post and direct it at a certain group of ppl and those that it was NOT directed at decide to very LOUDLY voice their opinion on what you never asked them about, isn't it?!
