Personal Question for the ladies...

I am exactly 2 months post-op, am down 58lbs and generally feeling good. Okay, here's my question:

Has your libido been affected at all since the surgery?  I don't have the same "drive" since, and I was wondering if I'm not alone.  To the veterans - did it take a while to get your "mojo" back, and if so, how long?  BTW - I'm too young for menopause.

Sorry for being so personal.  If anyone isn't comfortable posting this on the board, you can send me a pm.

Thanks in advance!

Initially, I, too, had a low libido...but recently, I am outta control! lol and I AM middle age and gettin' close to menopause!

My suggestion to you, don't give up trying! You'll be fine!

Barbara,

I haven't noticed any difference in my libido, but I'm way, way past menopause so not as subject to hormone fluctuations. As you lose weight, your shrinking fat cells release estrogen, and that can mess with your moods and your libido. I hope everything gets back to normal - or even better than that! - for you soon...

Not long after surgery I noticed the brakes came to a hault, but once you seen your lbs melting off you start to feel attractive agian, and it comes back. No need to worry this is just temporary. Think of it as rest time cause when it comes back, it comes back with a BANG! Good Luck!

Thanks for the feedback.  This was a topic I haven't seen yet.
