OT: Tornados! Prayers Please.

North Carolina and other Southern states in the US, suffered from deadly tornados this past Saturday.  NC had 62 touch down that day.  My family was very fortunate, in that all we lost was a few shingles and power until today.  Our neighbors were not so lucky, though.  Our street and subdivision were hit very hard.  Several people lost their lives, including three small children, further down our road.  Their mother put them in a closet at the last minute, in an attempt to save their life.  That's what most people would have done in that situation.  A tree from their yard was blown over and fell on that closet, killing all three children.  

I am counting my blessings that my family and property were spared.  So, hug your children, significant others, families,  furbabies, friends...You never know when it will be the last time you get to do it.  I am hoping that the other members on this site from this area (or any other area that was affected) are safe.  Please pray for everyone who's lives were affected on Saturday.

I am also in NC and we had some hard hit areas near us but were spared any damage. Praying for those in your neighborhood and that poor family that lost their 3 children. How horrible !

I'm from Arkansas, and we lost 7, 3 of them children.  My heart and prayers go out to all those who lost people and furbabies in those horrible storms.  We seemed to be the beginning and it gained fury as it went from state to state.
