Ok, so i know it's normal for the band to be tighter in the AM, but how about when you eat on a regular basics. I mean my first couple of bites every meal seem to go down really hard. I notice after I have eaten a few bits it gets a lil better but those first initail bits are somtimes killer and it actually makes me not want to eat the rest of my meal at all. I heard the warm liquid before you eat, smaller bits and chew chew chew suggestions I have done these any other suggestions? Anyone else have this problem?

sometimes I have to take a bite or two and just wait a few mintues before i take another bite..

Sometimes I have to eat foods that are "wet" like chili or meat sauce .. it varies.. maybe sure you are drinking enough water I have a hard time eating when I'm dehydrated ..

I have this all of the time.   After about the third bite I feel like I cannot eat anymore, but if I sit for a while, I am usually fine with the rest of my meal. The only thing that works for me is taking a long break after the first couple of bites. I always get a cup of ho****er with lemon when I go out to eat.  No other suggestions, but I will be watching too for other replies.  I keep my band on the loose side, only about 5 cc. It seems lunchtime is the worst for me.

Yes there is actually a name for it .I think it is First Bite Syndrome . It happens to me as well. Just take it real slow .

I'm noticibly tighter in the morning and and if I'm not well hydrated. At breakfast I can eat 5 ounces of greek yogurt and a little fruit over a 30 minute period and I would never want more than that. Other mornings I'll take 20 minutes to eat an egg with a half ounce of cheese with teeny tiny bites.  At lunch and dinner I can eat more but I still need to make sure I start out very slowly and put my fork down between bites.

Psychomom is right sounds like first bite syndrome to me.......... I think it is fairly common in the band world. Sometimes I take too big a bite or start to eat too fast without realizing it............I normally get up and walk for a few minutes and then are able to eat the rest (unless my kids provide dinner drama LOL).
