I choose the surgery over my relationship

As hard as your choice was you chose YOURSELF!!!!!

You are going to have a new and improved life especially since you are learning to love and respect your self!

 What an insecure, selfish person. He's not a man he's a mouse. Sorry that you had to go through that, but in the long run you will feel and look so much better and he'll be on the outside looking it, wishing he was a better MAN... You've got a whole family on OH that will support and love you for who you are.. Remember there are so much more fish in the sea, when your ready you'll find a REAL MAN or "MEN" to choose from.

You didn't do it for him, you did it for you. I am so happy you didn't allow him to dictate how you should spend your life. That is just one of your WOW monments.

WOW! That is horrible that you would have to make a choice like that, but that being said someone *****ally loves you wants best for you and wouldnt ask you to make those kind of decisions. Remember that people love people that love themselves. So you just love you work on you and be you. Someone will find that absolutly amazing! You made the right choice! you deserve better.... and your not selfish your a woman, your powerful and smart and hes a selfish moron!! Good job girly.. proud of you!!

I understand thought its hard. I got surgery 4/26/2010 and me and my husband split in 7/6/2010 so its hard! But he will look back and regret and you will be happy and proud.!

Well the good news is .... the new you will have little problem finding a better man that is happy to get to know you :)

If he was not going to be able to be there for you he was not really there all along and probably would not be in the future. Glad you are doing well and moving foward !  There are plenty of great guys out there :) 

Sorry that you was put in the position to make that choice, but you do have to take care of yourself first. And NO you are not selfish in making that decision!! Best of luck on your weightloss adventure!!

 Congrats on the first of many steps in puttng yourself first.
Doing ths without support is hard but wth negativity is almost impossible.
Sorry you had to go through this, you made the right choice.

I will echo what many others have said. While it's awful that you had to make that choice at all, I guess it's better that he show his true colors now, instead of wasting even more time and effort on a relationship with someone like that.

Thanks everyone for all the love and support. I feel like Im making the best decision for me. I have to be honest and admit that all the negativity has me scared. Im just praying that God will get me through the surgery ok. I think I was nervous with the rny too so Im sure its just nerves. I will make sure to update you guys after surgery.
