I am recently banded, and was really struggling with making meals that were allowable and easy.  I have been using my crockpot a lot lately, the meat is moist and then I just add veggies or fruits. My favorite has been chicken taco meat. Very moist and tasty, you just put boneless chicken breasts in crocpot, top with salsa mixed with taco seasoning and set on low 6-8 hours. I would think you couldl even freeze your own meals in a tupperware container to grab and go ( I have not done this yet though) it might be healthier.

I have had avoided the frozen meals and when I am gone all day had string cheese, tuna salad, or something like that availible. Good luch figuring out what works for you!

Brenda -- you are going to get alot of variance.

If you need to resort to them -- here is what I suggest

1.  look for the ones that limit carbs and have higher protein
2.  increase your water consumption --- these processed foods are quite high in sodium
3.  do your best to limit them

If you find that your weight loss stalls, or you don't feel well -- do something different.

Clearly, these are a better option than a Big Mac and fries ---- so, do the best you can.

I ate one everyday for lunch when I lost the most weight. It is portion controlled and calorie counted. I lived on the southwestern rice and black beans lean cuisine. I would sometimes add some ff sour cream and avacado. I also loved the veggie bowtie pasta primavera thingy from smart ones.

I get burnt out on salad, soups, and dry meats. I like having a hot meal for lunch. I think these can be a part of your plan.  I think the preservative/ salt issue was never my biggest issue so I did the best I could with the tools at hand. When you master the lower calories, I think that is a good time to start cooking and portioning your own healthy meals but IMO frozen is the way to go at first if you are frazzled. Worked for me!
