What healthy snacks do you keep at work?
Actually, I rarely eat snacks during the day. I keep things there for those days when I don't have a planned meal for breakfast or lunch or I'll make a meal out of my snack drawer. I mostly use a variety of beverages to supplement my meals because I know that if I don't get in all of my liquids the lack of hydration can cause my band to be tight.
I'm a three meal a day gal, but there are times when I do get hungry and just need a little something. It usually happens around 4:00. I need to make sure I'm not starving when I get home because I'll snack before dinner if I am.
My snack trouble time is in the evening. That is the only time of day I "plan" a snack.
Many people here eat 6 smaller meals throughout the day and that works too. You just have to make sure that those 6 small meals don't exceed your calorie goal for the day.
Planning and being prepared with the good foods I should be eating is 90% of my key to success.

Usually for lunch, I just make a little plate of my snacks and I'm good. I generally have to work through lunch so I end up kind of grazing on my plate over a period of an hour or so. And I find that having food like this available makes the cookies and crackers and chips in the kitchen look completely unappealing. It covers all the taste cravings that I have.
And yes... I keep chocolate at the office. I buy a couple of bars of organic dark chocolate and if I want a square, I have one. I eat it slowly and I enjoy every bite. And then I don't usually want another piece for several days.
