One year down and the band obviously does not work.....because if it worked I could have finished a 10 mile run last month and would be running my first half marathon in two weeks.  OH WAIT!    Here is the picture of me at the end of that 10 mile race.

I wouldn't change my choice for a minute.  I have my life back.

Congrats on both ! I am traing to run 5k in May. I have alot of obstacles to overcome but you can't get there if you don't put one foot in front of the other! You are doing great!

Thanks Kristi.  In that picture I am cursing my FIL, who ran the whole thing with me, then took off at the very end just so he could say he beat me by five seconds (PUNK!)

Wow, that's something to have a FIL run a race also!  You must be very young.
I admire people that can run.  I am occasionally doing a little jogging with my walks, just short bursts and my Golden Retrievers LOVE it when I jog.  I say they are my personal trainers, always wanting to go farther and faster!  And they love every minute of it.  We walked for 100 minutes this afternoon and it was just perfect outside.

My FIL is 64, but you wouldn't know it.  He's been running all of his life.
My dogs love long walks, but the older beagle has knee problems so we have to take it slow with her.  Good for you that you get out with them and keep them moving.  It helps you both!

Kristi, I adore my dogs too.  I walk, and do Zumba.  But if you see me running, look for the guy with an ax behind me.
