Help me!
I just got refilled a week ago from having been unfilled for about a month due to having a "stuck" episode (with acid reflux then the to the ER to get emergency unfill so I could get fluids down). I had gained about 10 lbs. and felt horrible. Over the last week I've done really well. Eating slow not having any problems. Then, last night I ate dinner and thought I was doing ok but it took about 3 hours to lose that "way too full feeling" which is really uncomfortable. So, this morning I drink my coffee and couldn't fini**** because it stayed above my band for like 2 hours. WTH?!
My question is, how do I proceed from here? I'm afraid to eat anything for fear of having something get stuck. :(
Any and ALL suggestions are welcome!
Once you get back onto solids please be careful and try doing the following:
Measure 1/2 cup of food total...3 oz dense protein + veggies, don't eat any more than that even if you can fini**** comfortably. Stop if you get a hiccup or a little runny nose or other soft stop sign. Wait a few minutes and take one more bite...if you feel at all uncomfortable, STOP eating and remove your plate.
Cut your food into M&M sized pieces
Take one bite at a time, putting your fork down between bites and chew 15-25 times per bite
No liquids during or for at least one half hour after eating.
If you still feel like you are stuck doing this, you need to call your doctor for a little unfill...
Good luck and let us all know how it goes after at least 24 hours on liquids.
I'd give your MD a call this am and let them know whats going on. They might be able to fit you in for a slight unfill. Not a full unfill, just a little.
I would not eat anything solid at this point. Just try to get your liquids in until you call the MD.
Good luck!

There is times where I get very very swollen and after a 24 hour rest period I'm fine... whatever you eat last night just didn't sit well...
