Coming Back

Hi, all.  I haven't been on for a while.  I used to log in daily since before and after my surgery in 2009 but sort of stopped.  I think I became discouraged.  Not really because of the band, but because of my own failings in using this tool the way it was meant to be used.  But, I'm back and returning to the habits that helped me in the beginning - support from this site, tracking my meals daily, etc..   The main reason I am posting this, I suppose, is to help me jump start back into the right path and let anyone else know who is in the same boat that they are not alone.  God bless!

Welcome back!! It appears we have similar journeys as we've both lost a bit and then stopped and got discouraged. I'm glad your back and hope you get the support you need here. I suggest you check out the board regularly and don't get discouraged by the band wars from time to time. Use your block button wisely! Good luck to you!!

Hi...I'm in the same boat. I can't seem to get back on track. I need to feel the thrill when it all began. Thanks for the inspiration! I'll start logging tomorrow.

Hello- I am in the same boat and it was so good to read your post and know that I am not alone. When I first got my band almost 3 years ago I did really good at first. Guess I was on the beginners band high. Had some major life stresses and then it seems to have spiraled out of control from there. Since then I haven't been able to get back on track. Seems like I am throwing up all the time and not losing weight. I feel it is because I am not using this tool the way it should be is why I am having the problems. It is either I find myself trying to eat too fast, too big a bite, the wrong foods etc. I know this tool works I have seen its wonder in the beginning and I so want to do this. My husband and I was blessed with our first child 10 months ago and I gained a lot of weight on top of the weight I had already gained due to some very stressful life changes. Anyway- this was a real encouragement to read your post and I am going to get back on this band wagon and give it my all.

Thanks to all of you!  It is great to know that I am not alone.  :)  Oh, and I had an EGD Friday and found I lost four pounds.  Woo hoo!
