I have been on this board for years!!! Time for you to stop talking **** about Jean! You have interesting things to say until you talk crap about her!!! you have never liked her and the world knows!!!! Congrats!! just keep to the topic at hand, ie: Dr. Oz and the band, keep your opinions towards that! You must have severe jealous issues of Jean!!! She has helped my struggle every inch of the way!!!! Again quit lowering yourself to be a vindictive jealous woman!
And talk is cheap!!!!! unblock the people you trash if you have something to say about them!!!

Band removed and feeling alive with energy!
Ann,
Thanks for sticking up for me. It's pretty funny that Nana feels free to bash me now that she has me blocked so I can't see the poison dripping from her mouth.
I'd like to take this opportunity to explain to newbies why Nana has me blocked and the #1 reason (besides jealousy) that she despises me.
A while back, Nana posted on this forum about her indignation that her employer expected her to use a laptop computer that had been used by a coworker who had recently died. She "knew" (we don't know how) that this man was gay and "knew" that he died of AIDs and "knew" that she was in terrible danger of catching AIDs by using his laptop.
As you might expect, I responded to her post, and its ignorant homophobia, quite vigorously. I'm not the only one *****acted that way - the post drew droves of members from all the OH forums. I imagine that Nana's list of blocked OH members must number in the hundreds by now.

I never would have known who Jean was, oops I do vaguely remember her questioning Dr C on band issues a few years ago, I guess she was gathering info for her supposedly lap band book at the time... or could have cared less of who she was until the day out of the blue she viciously attacked me and cursed me for posting about me having fill issues, her attack against me was NOT warranted especially when I was trying to seek answers of why I was not keeping saline in my port -- turned out my old surgeon was manipulating my adjustments after I changed surgeons...I lost all respect for that lady, she appears to be a sweet old lady, but I guess when you are ripping off newbies, you don't NEED any other vets on the boards helping out it could cut into her profits...and by the way I will continue to stay honest and truthful with my posts, most very knowledgeable vets no longer post, I will continue to post and help others when I am available, sorry she is your dear friend.
Thanks for sticking up for me, Kath & Ann. Too bad Nana's so afraid of me that she has me blocked.

Kath i didnt cruise down the bd before i wrote my absurdities on her food also...thought if that is how she sustains then there is something wrong with me & my band as i noted in another post...wonder if she has it too tight? I was like dang this is unreal or i really have a problem, moreso than i thought, & i already compulse on this far too much...thx for sharing your thoughts. I am not sure why they didnt question her food intake...the other girl did mention that that was how she restarted foods (soft) after surgery but showed what her diet consisted of today, and i think her diet today is in the perfect world...i cant see her sustaining that every day especially as she mentioned her weight has fluctuated up at times at which point she gets back on the basics...
It appears the manufacturers have fed them all their propaganda and they are merely spewing what they have been told. If I remember correctly the girl from OH that was supposed to be on was canceled. They really should have had someone who would be more honest about the down side of the band because there certainly is one, you don't get a full spectrum of info from this show.
I missed the Oz show, but this discussion reminds me of a similar situation on another TV show featuring a band patient a couple of years ago. It was an MTV Show, True Life, and the topic was, "I'm Uncomfortable with my Body". The band patient had lost a ton of weight, and was uncomfortable with his excess skin. What bothered me about the show, was that apparently, all he ate was broth! Then, for some reason he got an unfill, and the next segment totally sickened me. He went to his favorite deli, and ate an ungodly amount of food. Within a few days he had gained 10+ pounds, and was back at the doctor getting re-filled. That demonstrated very clearly to me the hazards of being super tight (besides the risks of slips/erosions). If you don't learn to *eat* with the band, how are you going to learn to maintain? No one can stay super tight forever, and even if they do get to goal, what then? Back to the same ol' yo-yo routine?
