On Thursday, I got my invisalign (invisible braces).  I was excited because unlike regular braces, I can remove these to eat and lord knows I love to eat.

This being the case, can someone tell me how I lost 5 pounds since I got them without even trying?

I tell you.  Even though I can take them out to eat, I can already  tell the effect of the invisalign on my teeth, my teeth are not sore but chewing is so not a pleasure (they are doing what they suppose to do) and mindless snacking is impossible, in order to put something in my mouth, these little clear monsters have to come out and who want to look like they are removing dentures (even if they are clear) each time they want to snack, then brush your teeth before putting them back in your mouth so that food will not be trapped between your teeth and the braces.  In the last 4 days, I have cut down on coffee due to being only able to drink it when the braces are out...I have up my water intake...only liquid that I can drink without removing these things and I seem to be thirstier than before .

I did not think about it but I think there is a hidden benefit to these other than a pretty smile. Trust me, I am not complaining, I am just tickle pink that I lost 5 pounds without even trying, that has never happened to me. I have to wear them for the next 18 months at least 22 hours every day, so I am curious to see the effect they will have.  I don’t even think I will need to get back up to my pre-deployment fill level. I think between babylapband and these, I am just where I need to be for now.

YAHOO!!!  8 lbs to go. Between your band and those braces, you'll hit that 100 lbs in the next month. How does that feel? Congratulations.
