Surgery date 4/21 havung second thoughts

How long do you have to do the pre op diet

My preop diet is two weeks of nothing but liquids! I start tomorrow (4/6/11)!

I wonder why I only have to do the liquid for 2 days preop??? You'll do great! Keep me posted on how its going.

OMG!!! I am getting Bandedon 4/13/11 and I also am going back and forth hoping i have made the right choice!!! Im on day 2 of my Liquid DIET!!! I hope those hunger mental pains go away SOON!!! lol!

Hey, I am getting banded the day after you, also by Dr. Speigel!  I have been having second thoughts like crazy!!  My main worry is that I have been told by sooo many people that I should be having the sleeve instead.  I didn't hear any of this until after I had made the decision to have the band.  Unfortunately, I am self-pay, and cannot afford the sleeve.
Also, I have been reading EVERYTHING on this forum for the past few days, and you & I are the only people having just a 2 day liquid diet.  What's up with that??

Ive talked to a couple more people that only had two day on the liquid diet. My coworker has 1day. I just went shopping to find things to get me through the liquid phase. Do you live in Houston?

I live in Lake Charles,LA...just a couple of hours away,  I just went shopping too...I bought some canned soup, sugar free popcicles, crystal light, and a few different kinds of protein shakes. 

I bought exactly the samethings! I bought the eas shakes and muscle milk light.
I heard those two were pretty good. I plan on getting the unjury ones after surgery. I think the band will work fine for us as long as we follow dr spiegels orders. I am really nervous but not nervous enough to cancel. Ill let you know how I feel afterwards thursday. We have one of the best doctors so we will be successful.

Too funny--I bought the eas & the muscle milk light too...  I am nervous, too!!  Good Luck!  Yay for us!!
