I had my band surgery on March 30 (2 days ago).  Tomorrow I'm supposed to move on to full liquids, but I'm afraid to try.  Any suggestions?

You will be just fine dont take big gulps drink slowly .  Make sure if you are using any kind of soups that you strain it really well you dont want any food in there.  :o)

You will find out how much you can drink at once and when to stop.   I did mine in oz. I would start out with one or two and if I had no problems drinking that down and it stayed down i would add some more a little at a time.  I was back to drinking about 8 oz after a week .

But go slow pace yourself and dont stress you are okay :o)

Small bites of yogurt or pudding  and creamy soups -- not exactly eating ---

Slow -- sips of soup, or tiny bites of yogurt/

Don't be surprised if you can only tolerate 2 or 3 tablespoons at a time.

This first week is about healing -- and staying hydrated.  Don't worry too much if you don't get many calories or all of your protein -- most of us can live for weeks without food (plenty in reserve) -- but you do need fluids.

Your appetite will increase over the next few days probably --- just keep going slowly and you will be fine.

Just take it little by little. I was afraid too but you have to ease into it. Add the full liquids gradually and sip slowly and carefully. You'll do fine!

Warm cream of chicken soup...run it through the blender and then microwave about 2 oz at a time...don't get it so hot it can burn you, though.  I got the lower sodium kind and it wasn't bad.  Also sugar free pudding, dannon light and fit yogurt (without fruit), protein shakes (though they were too foamy for me), sf popcicles, fudge bars, etc.  Warm apple juice cut with 50% water and stir with a cinnamon stick is good too...cut it because it is as much sugar as a soft drink!  I progressed from full liquids to purees during this stage and just bought soup at Safeway in their deli, southwestern black bean was my favorite, pureed in the blender, put it back into the container and just warmed up what I needed for a meal...topped with rf sour cream and a little parmesan cheese.  As I progressed to solids, I would add 2 oz of finely crumbled cooked 99% ff ground turkey to 2 oz of soup and it really kept me full...
You'll be fine, just go slow.
