I think I hurt myself!
I am 5 weeks out today...no fill yet. I'm scheduled for my first fill next week April 6. Just now at the office I did a STUPID thing and I'm kicking myself for it. I picked up one of those big water jugs and put it on the water dispenser. Now I have some discomfort on my left side.
Imagined peer pressure...I knew I shouldn't be picking it up, but there were others in the room and I was embarrassed to ask for help.
Do you think I've done any real damage?

*I am NOT a DR.*
but lol
I would guess that you are probably ok. You most likely just used some muscles that you haven't used for 5 weeks.....
but, if you are concerned, call your Dr.

It sounds to me maybe you pulled your muscle. Maybe you pulled the muscle that your port is connected to. That would cause a lot of discomfort. I would say take some Tylenol and use a heating pad. If you still feel discomfort in a few days (it takes a 2-3 days for a muscle pull to feel better) I would make sure you mention it to your Surgeon when you go in for your fill.
I did a similar thing at about the 4 week mark and scared myself witless. My family doctor had warned me about the dangers of a hernia and I was SURE I'd caused one by the pain. I gave it a few days, ate very lightly and was fine. I expect you are too but if the pain doesn't go away in a few days you should call the surgeon's office. Take it easy.
