I love your post! That will my great moment. last year my daughter (age 6) went on El Torro with my girlfriend's son because i did not fit. I am hoping to have that not be an issue by October this year.

Duck_Girl, I'm up this morning reading through these WOW moments.

Congratulations on yours!!!   This, too, is one of my major fears.  I've lost almost 80 lbs. and still fear standing in line with my friends fearing I won't fit.  True anxiety!!!
I am tempted to try before the summer is over though...we'll see.

Anyway, thanks for sharing and again congrats on your accomplishments!!!

One of my goals that I have set is to be able to take my daughters and grandkids to Disney World and Universal Studios and ride everything in sight. I will be like a little kid again. I can't wait. Surgery is happening sometime in October or November. Still doing the prerequisite that the insurance company set. 3 months of medically supervised diet. Oh well. I have one month down already.  Congrats on your WOW moment.

Hey Jen,

I can certainly relate to your goal.  We are leaving for Disney in 9 days!!  I am so looking forward to enjoying the attractions with my grandkids. I will still be struggling to keep up with them, I'm sure.  Good luck with your next 2 months of the medically supervised diet.  Remember Mickey is waiting to see the new and healthy YOU!!

I am so glad I'm not alone in this!  We were at Hershey Park in July, and there was one ride where they announced that bigger people were to get in a certain line.  Knowing the surgery was coming, I wasn't as horrified as I usually would have been, but it still wasn't pleasant.  And my daughter (15), bless her heart, leaned over and whispered to me, "Not for long, Mom." Hopefully next year...

Congrats on your WOW moment!

My biggest WOW moment for me is that since I lost this weight I'm able to walk without a cane and also be able to sit on the floor with my little granchildren and play with them and be able to stand longer when going out shopping with pains in my legs and back and ankles.  This is only the beginning for me..I can't wait to get even smaller in the next few months...I'm already down 2 sizes...THANKS LAP BAND...and Oh friends who help me along the journey of WLS...

My wow moment was at Banana Republic.  I had reached goal and was shopping for much needed new clothes with my mom.  I brought in a bunch of size 2's into the dressing room, thinking they looked about right.  To my amazement they were all too big!  I ended up with size 1 and even some 0's.  I couldn't beieve I was that small.
