Time to get my head outta my butt!
I am almost 15 months post op. Down 130+ lbs and I have been at the same spot for 2 months (since my gallbladder surgery).....it's not that I have hit a plateau.....it's that I have gotten lazy. I went on a 2 week vacation and it has been downhill ever since.........eating junk food, not exercising..ugghh...
So, last night I got out the old pen and paper and wrote down the things I HAVE to do if I want to have continued success!
So for me.......BACK TO THE BASICS.
1. Weigh or measure my food ( no more eyeballing..I cheat)
2. Water!!!!!!!!! Stop the iced tea
3. Use my food journal (it keeps me honest)
4. Get back to the gym ( I really do enjoy it)
5. Count my protein
6. Chew, chew and chew.....(do NOT inhale anymore!)
7. Go back to my monthy support group meeting
8. Spend more time on this board (like I used to)
9. Get the junk food out of my house (sorry honey)
10. Get an overdue fill (appointment tomorrow)
Wish me luck!!
Thanks,
Steph

12-15 months is a tricky time for most of us especially if you've lost over 100 lbs. IMO, the motivation wanes becuase we don't get the same thrill of the scale dropping fast, people making comments or not recognizing us. We get accustomed to wearing new clothes and being able to do things we haven't done in years. I just finished an article for Jean M.'s newsletter, (coming out tomorrow), on this very topic. Finding the motivation to get us to our next goal isn't always easy and I joined WW in January to help me take off the weight I gained over the holidays and to get to goal. If you read the article you'll see what I discovered. If you don't get her newsletter, sign up. It's amazing! Or, let me know and I'll send you the article.
Best wishes in finding out what will motivate you to get back on track! I KNOW you can do it!
