Yoga for us big girls?

I absolutely love yoga and have done it pretty consistently, even at my heaviest (315).  I would highly recommend the Yoga for Dummies series with Sara Ivanhoe.  She's great.  2 things though - don't take yourself too seriously (it takes some time to learn the postures) and don't have anyone in the room with you while you're learning.

I go to a yoga class every Monday night. Just started in Feb. I am now 225lbs and while I can't do everything perfectly, it is fun trying.

Give it a try. There are women (and men) of all sizes in my class.  Try to buy a thicker yoga mat, such as the 1/4" thick mat, instead of the thinner 1/8" ones. I also have a fold up exercise mat that I place under my yoga mat, which helps with the knee pain.
