I am about to go to my second post op appointment i had surgery a month ago and i feel as of now that i am able to eat more foods.. i go to the gym everyday but i just realized i have not been taking enough protein in. on the scale my weight has been up and down between 162 and 175. what do i do? should i just drink protein shakes and water one day and see if i could lose weight? im very confused... i wanna be down to 162 and stay there and not go up by next friday when i go for an appointment. thank you

Protein intake is very important so make sure your getting in enough.   I was not eating anything but full liquids and soft pureed foods until about 7 weeks post op.  I dieted plain and simple for probably 6 months before I began to feel restriction that lasted longer an a week or so after each fill..  I am impressed that your going to the gym so quickly after surgery make sure your not over doing it.  Stop weighing yourself everyday, you will go up and down that's completely normal.  Limit yourself to once a week trying to weigh yourself at the same time of day.   You will lose but you have to give yourself time, your not even completely healed from the surgery yet.  Good luck  Lori
