Hey kids,

Just want to drop by and let everyone know how things have been going for me and my band. I know that I've been MIA from the board for a few weeks, but I've just been in a zone.

So I'm officially 3 months out and the new car smell has worn off. Lol, it's not a bad thing, but this is the point where will power and healthy choices are in a daily battle with old eating habits and destructive behavior. One thing is for sure: The band won't work unless I do, and for that reason, I really do love my band.

I have broken through so many barriers and pushed myself to limits I would have never thought possible 3 months ago. I won't kid anyone and say that it has been easy, because it hasn't. It's all about finding a middle ground that you can live with for the rest of your life. And most importantly, it's about being honest with yourself.

So as the title of my topic implies, YES! I have lost 45lbs! And I feel amazing! I've skipped my last 2 fills and have been averging between 8lbs to 12lbs lost every six weeks. I am actually jogging a 15/16 minute mile and feel so empowered. Some of you may remember that I was trying to do the c25k and struggling with it in the beginning. Well I listend to my body and modified the program (or the concept) to fit me better. So now what I do i**** shuffle on my workout playlist and walk the chorus of a song and jog the actual verse. This gets my heart pumping and the sweat pouring. This method is attributed to my progress to completing a 15 minute mile Give it a try and see if you like it!

High five to all!

Congratulations, Lauran!!  You've done great...happy to see you have been able to skip some fills...overfilling is not a good thing and I am happy to see you are being conservative.

Keep it up and keep us posted!

Congrats Lauran! You are doing great! By the way...in case you don't know it...your speeding up and slowing down in your workout is called interval training and that is awesome for high calorie burning!

Thank you so much ladies!  I have to say that I listene to so many people who had different experiences with th band, and I am so thankful that it has been such a positive experience for me.

High five to everyone that is working (or even just trying to work...that's the key) their band.  And to those who are preparing to be banded, just remember the band requires A LOT of self-reflection.  Everyday is different with my band.  Some days I feel like I win, and other days I feel like I got a little off track with eating.  But I don't think that my off days are failures.  I just think that they give me an opportunity to self-reflect and do better the next day.  Exercising has been my saving grace because it's like instant gratification to finish an amazing workout.  If I'm not sweating, I work harder.  If I'm comfortable in my stride, I kick it up a notch to see how far I can pu****  I'm competing against myself and I'm determined to win.

Yes!  I heard about interval training and wanted to start doing it so badly, but the c25k was kicking my butt!  So I figure that this was like the same thing and I am a witness that it is an awesome workout to include in your routine.    Have you by chance heard of any other workout routines for interval training?
