So worried

Don't listen to the naysayers.  Lots of people have done quite well with the band.  I've had mine for ten months and I have lost 82 pounds.  For about half of the time I was away from home and not cooking my own food.  I was still able to lose.  I am very happy with my decision.  My only regret is not having done it sooner.  (I don't think I would have been as successful if I'd done it sooner, my head wasn't in the right place.)

As for the actual surgery, mine was a breeze.  I felt great afterwards and I usually feel like crud after any type of procedure.  The key is to follow your doctor's post-op instructions to a T and to call and ask questions if you have them.

Good luck with the surgery.  You'll do fine!

I am sitting on the fence.  I decided this was what I was going to do, don't want to commit to bypass surgery, so this was a less invasive decision.  I keep hearing horror stories, I am back on the fence and off to do more research,

Wishing you the very best of luck with your surgery. If you're confident in your surgeon's skills and have done research and still feel the lapband is the best procedure for you, then move forward confidently.

Good luck to you. Keep breathing!

Thank you, Kathy! I am wearing my painting shirt in this photo... and that's the only time I feel like myself! I appreciate the nice words.
