Need to Stop Snacking
I'm newly rebanded and I just had my 1st fill 2 weeks ago. I don't go in for my 2nd one until April 14th (4 weeks away). I serve my meals on a saucer plate. I'm eating really good - healthy and smaller portions. However, I get hungry in between meals about 2 hours later. If I could just stop the snacks, I'd be able to lose weight. My snacks alone add up to another 400-500 calories alone.
I rely on protein snacks, but dairy is my enemy. I like tuna with salsa and beef jerky. Does anyone have any other low-calorie suggestions? Any suggestions would be wonderful. I have 4 more weeks of this.
Thank you.

I snack on beef sticks (like pepperoni sticks or beef jerky), cheese sticks or cubes portioned out, pork rinds, tuna, portioned tortilla chips w/salsa, jello or various fruit. I have to bring the snacks portioned out in a baggie or bowl so that I don't eat more than I'm supposed to. I also keep water with me to help make sure I'm not eating all day.
I don't allow hunger! Makes me think of food and then I snack. So I have extra meals! I define a meal as being something which starts with dense protein and is about 200+ calories.
For example, I got home today after teaching at about 4 p.m.. Dinner was planned for about 6:30. i was hungry, so I stuck a breaded fish fillet from the freezer into the oven. 250 calories, filled me totally. You can't do that at work, but you can still have 5 or 6 meals a day rather than snacks.
Tuna fills me when i eat it but the feeling of satiety doesn't last.

Highest 290, Banded - 248 Lowest 139 (too thin!). Comfort zone 155-165.
Happily banded since May 2006. Regain of 28lbs 2013-14. ALL GONE!
But some has returned! Up to 175, argh! Off we go again,
Why is dairy your enemy? Are you lactose intolerant or is there something else? Newly rebanded? Did you have troubles with your first or is that a typo? Not that it makes any difference.. just curious. :)
I like the WW string cheese.. only 50 calories each. I eat one with an apple sometimes to tide me over between meals. Medium apple is about 80 calories.
Wasa crackers (particularly the 20 calorie light and crisp kind.. in the pale purple box) with a wedge of light laughing cow cheese. 35 calories.. for 55 calories total!!
Jif peanut butter in the individual cups.. they're a little more cal. than I like (250) but lots of protein. Eat with a Wasa (see above) or celery sticks. I've also found peanut butter in little packets (various brands) that are only 180 cal.. but they're messier.. the cups are easier to deal with on the go.
Hummus singles (sabra brand is what's available here) eat with carrot sticks. Don't remember the calories on the Hummus. sorry.
Dr. Kracker Organic Cheddar and Pumpkin seed krackers. 100 calories each.. but very thick & filling. Eat alone or spread with laughing cow cheese. If you have a Jason's Deli near you, they have these in a smaller size.. 50 calories. I wish I could buy them that way.
Low or no fat PLAIN Greek yogurt and fresh or frozen fruit. Don't get the stuff with fruit already added, it's got too much sugar. can add a packet of no calorie sweetner of your choice if the fruit doesn't get it sweet enough. Calories will vary depending on brand/size. I get the Dannon Plain Greek 5.3 oz for 80 calories. Fruit varies.
Breakstone makes cottage cheese in small snack size containers. I like it with a tablespoon of real bacon bits added. sounds weird but tastes good. Total of about 115 calories with the bacon bits.
Emerald and Blue Diamond both make 100 calorie packs of almonds. I really like the Emerald Cocoa Roasted ones.
Hope this helps.
