Yowza! Usually I just take some chewable gas-x and I'm good to go but this is something else! Does this ever happen to anyone else? Any go-to remedies?

Thanks!

if you are in that bad of a shape you might want to take a mild ex lax or something like that.

Since we eat a lot of protein which causes constipation and eating to much cheese which I'm horrid about lol I had to add some foods with fiber in it.

I dont like to mix things into my drinks for fiber when I can get it through food.

Kellogg's came out with a really good fiber bar  Called Fiber Plus with antioxidants or something like that.  I got the caramel, coconut fudge one and they are excellent and 10 grams of fiber in it.

Also they have a cereal out also same thing I got the Berry yogurt one and for 3/4 cup of cereal I believe its 10 grams of fiber and it keep me pretty full even though I'm drinking milk with it cause of the fiber .

Fiber keeps you full and I think that is just as important as protein :o)

But like I said if you are hurting that bad I would do a mild ex lax and see if that helps.   Start eating salads to if you can that really helps to keep things going also.

DEFINITELY been there. Got some MiraLax and Light Prune Juice, mixed them together. Pretty severe when you put a laxative in prune juice, but ya do what ya gotta do to get things moving. I am eating something that's not liking me I think.

Go to Trader Joes...they have these dried fruit bars called Fiberbars I believe...they are really good and help a ton!

I just dealt with this MAJORLY over the weekend.  I said DAMN!  lol.  I came on here and was advised to try "Smooth Move" tea.  I found it in the "health/organic/specialty foods" section at the regular grocery store and it was magical!!  Drank a cup at night...smooth move in the morning.  Sorry - TMI!  But yeah, get on that...it works! :)

I second what Lisa stated. Smooth Move tea, make sure it is the one with Senna. It works wonders! Also adding nuts to your diet helps. Eating sunflower kernals helps me a lot.

Good Luck!

That happened to me when I first drank my first diet soda 6 weeks post-op. Darn near killed me. I guess I wasn't used to the carbonation. It felt like a heart attack. Scared me to death. Bean-o and walking cleared up the gas. A good cleansing tea, cleared up the rest.
