Another poster asked that I share how I prepare my edamame.
Edamame or soy bean is a veg that is high in protein. 1/2 cup = 10 grams protein.
You can get it in the pod but don't eat the shell!
Or you can get it shelled. thats how I like it.
I keep my shelled edamame in the freezer and take out a 1/3 of a cup at a time for a high protein snack. I put it in a glass bowl with a piece of paper towel on top and steam it for about 3 minuets in the microwave. OR I boil it for a few minutes till somewhat tender.
I sprinkle with one of the following.
Mrs. Dash Butter
Cajun
Rice powder
Curry - Not my favorite!
little peanut oil tossed with orzo, tomato, red onion and seasame seed. DELISH!!!
