I went for a fill today and got 1cc.  Before the fill I was starving and couldn't seem to get full when I ate.  So he decided to give me a fill to help.  While I was at the Dr office, I took my required sips of water and everything was fine.  On the way back to work, I stopped for some soup so I'd be able to have lunch.  I was able to take 2 bites and its been downhill from there.  After the soup wasn't successful, I decided to try some coffee...just as bad!!  Am I too full? Do I need a slight unfill?  Should I wait for my stoma to relax and all will be good?!?!?  HELP!!!

If it was me you might just need to get 1/2 of a cc taken out . If you cant keep liquids down that is what I would do.

I personally would not wait to see if it gets better.  People do that becaue they want that restriction then it ends up doing the opposite and hurts them in the long run.

That is just me though I would never play around with things like that  . :o)

My doc has always told us if you cant keep soup down or any kind of liquid after I give you a fill then to come back in so he can take a little out

I have to be on liquids for a full 24 hours for a fill and even the next day it has to be soupy mush because I get swollen after that I'm usually fine.

if you can't even ge****er down you might need to go to the dr for a slight unfil.. when you say bites not slipped.. then those bites might of been too much with your new fill and you got stuck and everything is irrated.

You may just be swollen but I would call the Dr office and run it all by them and see what they think. They my want you to come back in a have a little bit taken out or wait to see if the swelling goes down a little in the next few days. Keep us posted !

I had to get an unfill once and all they took out was .2 ccs and that made all of the difference in the world.  6 weeks later he gave me another fill and everything was fine.

Short answer:  call the doc's office, describe exactly what you tried to eat (only liquid from the soup or did you try some solids too?) and ask what they want you to do.

Hope you feel better soon.

I just had the same thing happen after a fill.  I had to wait a day before I could get back to doctor, when I finally did get there I was very dehydrated and unable to get anything down.  Everything was a no go!   NP took out .75 of my 1cc fill and I've done great with good restriction.

Hope you feel better soon, It's not very fun!
