Impatient with my appearance... anyone else?

So I'm not really sure what is going on.  But as I'm losing weight and getting smaller and wearing some clothes I haven't worn in a long time and seeing my body change so fast, I'm getting... impatient?  Frustrated?  I don't know what the right description is.  But it seems to manifest itslef in my doing really unusual things.  Most recently?  I went out and got a bunch of bright purple streaks put in my hair.  It was so odd, I just woke up one day and it was like... "I MUST have purple hair".  And now I do.

But now that that's done, I'm having the urge to get a tiny little diamond stud in my nose and while my husband was pretty easygoing about the purple hair (once he realized that with dark hair like mine, the purple is actually fairly subtle although what he doesn't realize is that it's TOO subtle and now I kind of want to add some hot pink too) I'm not so sure he'd love the idea of a pierced nose.  But it's almost like a craving...

is this something I'm replacing food cravings with?  Has anyone else dealt with anything similar?  Also... does anyone have a stud in their nose and did it hurt...?

Im not sure...   I didnt go through anything like this...    I've had pink and purple hair in the past.. LOL  and my nose has been pierced for 6 years.. .I also have 8 tattoos....   I did all of these things when I was heavier.

Is it bothering you that you're wanting to try new things??

I think maybe you're just being more adventurous.  Nothing wrong with that.  :)

I don't think its bothering me at all... well, not enough to not do it anyway!  I think I just assumed that I got all of this out of my system in my younger and wilder days but I guess I didn't and I was surprised by what I was wanting to do so I was looking for a reasoning behind it.  I actually kind of like it!

I'm feeling more adventurous too -- although not purple and pink hair at least yet :)  I've always gone with very plain jane, traditional everything and lately I've found myself wanting to try brighter colours and patterns and new things.

Regarding the nose ring -- what if you have to blow your nose?  : )

no idea... I imagine after a bit of time I would just get used to it?

Thanks!  I'm hoping that's the reasoning behind it too!!

Blowing your nose...LOL  its easy.  After a few months you dont even know its there anymore. I actually forget about it.  Mine is very small... and sits flat against my  nose

Oh good.  And it's like a little stud?  That's what I want too.  Did it hurt?

Yep.. its just a little stud.  Most places are piercing them with smaller and smaller ones so they're less noticable.

I dont know if it hurt...   I mean, anytime you put a hole in your body, of course there's discomfort. LOL

Everyone's tolerance for pain is different.  Like I said, I have 8 tattoos... so I've sat through worse.
