New Member, saying hi
Hello everyone,
I am 11 days out from my Lap-Band surgery. Had it done by Dr Ramiro Cavazos in San Antonio TX. The first few days were miserable, but nothing I didn't expect form the reading and resaerch I had done. Doing much better now, but still looking forward to being able to start on solid foods.
Already had my one week follow up and was down 16 pounds form surgery day. I look forward to one day reaching that 100 pound mark.
I also noticed this forum seems to have a lot more women than men. I hope you don't mind me joining you.

Congratulations on your surgery.
Yes, there do seem to be more female than male members here. I believe that's typical of OH membership in general. There is a men's forum here on OH, but my impression is that they don't spend a lot of time talking about weight loss surgery there. And there are male bandsters on this forum who just don't post as often as the women do, but they're lurking out there somewhere. Anyway, we're absolutely delighted to have a guy join us and help keep the hormone levels balanced out here...
So, welcome to the Loser's Bench!

Welcome! We love men here, we just don't get enough of them. But, we do have some and hopefully they will reach out to you as well.
This is a great place to garner practical information and get support. I'm 2 year post op and still check in daily becuase it helps me stay on track.
Friend some people that your find you relate well to. That will give you access to their blog here on OH. I have a lot of practical information on mine including my post op eating routine and a list of foods I enjoyed early on and still to this day.
Don't be shy and ask anything that comes to mind. We're here for you!
Congratulations to being off to a great start!
Best~
