Need encourgement!!!
I'm getting frustrated..I haven't lost a single pound this month. I go to doctor next week and they betterr give me a fill. Last month they didn't because she said I did good and lost 5 lbs. I don't want to get in this mental slump cause its not a good thing with me. I have basicly around the same breakfast and luches daily give or take...dinner I eat early cause I get home starving...I littlerlly can eat like theres no band there. I don't.. I meausre and stop cause I have a whole evening to go. Any suggestions..I do very little excercise not because I don't want to but cause of fused spine...thanks
Weight loss plateaus are sooooo frustrating. If I were you, I'd advocate strongly for a fill when you see your doc next week.
For me, a plateau can mean that I need to change my routine somehow - different food, different exercise, more water, more sleep, etc.
Do you eat just 3 meals a day? It's not good to eat as if you have no band even when you're starving, because you DO have a band and packing your pouch can eventually lead to a band slip or esophageal or stomach dilation. I suggest that you eat an afternoon snack so you're not so starving hungry when you get home.
Have you tried keeping a food log? I do it because it keeps me honest about what I'm really putting in my mouth, and it also gives me useful information. For example, I gain 4 pounds overnight and freak out. Then I go look at my food log and see that for the past few days, I've consumed twice as much sodium than I should each day. Now I know what needs fixing.
Also, if I were you, I'd talk to whatever doctor monitors the fused spine about what kind of exercise would be safe to do. How about some slow walking? Start with 5 minutes, then 10 minutes, then 15 minutes...

I can understand your frustration because today Im so frustrated I want to eat but I know I shouldnt *sigh*.
Im the opposite of you though. I can go 3-5 hrs of not wanting to eat physical hunger that isnt my problem Im just not losing like I have been.
I go and see my doc every four weeks well Im at the halfway point right now this week and I have only lost like 2 pounds and by now I always have a good 5 pounds off me and I dont know what IM doing wrong either.
I do exercise I do zumba monday nights and then Curves circuit with Zumba three times a week .
My calories dont go over 1100 a day and my carbs stay around 50 somtimes might go up to 60 .

Hi I feel your pain thx for your honesty. I can go w/out food for hours too cause I am not hungry but I WANT to eat I fight head hunger ALL the time...am on a slump can't go below where I am now so very frustrating...does the Curves circuit have Zumba thrown in with it now? I have the Zumba workout DVD but it doesn't do any good in the box!
Head hunger is awful I fight it alot to . It goes in spurts for me I can go weeks without any problems and then there are weeks that its a on going batte lol.
Yeap that is one of the reasons I went back to Curves because of Zumba and I love it !! You do the Zumba dance for a minute and then you work the machine for a minute and then switch again .
