Yes, yes... I had surgery 1/24/11 and lost a 16.2 pounds post op for a grand total of  31.2.  I have had 2 fills for a total of 5ccs.  Last week I felt a thowup-y feeling come and go and then I started feeling as if I worked out way too hard. I felt sluggish and just weak.  My sis bought 2 digital  pregnancy tests yesterday. I took one at my mom's and sure enough...POSITIVE.  I came home and told my hubby and he was shocked of course. I took the 2nd test and it didn't even take 1 minute to read positve.   I'm freakin' out OVER HERE!

I just started to look great and feel positive about my loss and then WHAM!....Ur gonna be fat all over again.   I am kinda happy in one sense b/c my son is 5 years old  and they will be spaced apart pretty well.  But, I just got this band and I know my surgeon is gonna look at me and shake his head. I am soooo overwhelmed.  Anyone who has gone thru this please give me advice...For real I'm freakin out.

Yes I can understand your concern...but at least your looking at the bright side.  I know someone who was banded 6 years ago...since then she has had two babies.  Each time she got pregnant she had an unfill (to get adequate nutrition) and then 6 weeks after she had the baby she got fills again.  she was able to lose weight fine afterwards with no problems.  Don't worry too much...after you have your baby you resume getting your fills and follow the Lapband rules and I'm sure you will do great.

Good luck!!!

Also remember you do not have to put on alot of weight to have healthy babies. With both of mine I only gained like 20 ish lbs which came off right after .My Dr was a stickler about weight gain (thank God lol) So just make good choices and treat yourself every once in awhile mama and you will be fine !!!! Congrats to you :)

I hit my goal and then had 3 pregnancies in 3 1/2 years.  I am guesstimating I will have 60 to take off when everything is said and done.  If you are able to keep your fill, keep it as long as possible to reduce how much weight you put on with the baby.  In my case, it was like the sperm hit the egg and my hormones switched and I needed an unfill.  Around 8 weeks after the baby is born, I will go back in for a fill and I am praying that the mental motivation is there to get this weight all back off.

Even if it doesn't take it all off, I am ok with that because I have my sons!  :)

Congrats on your great news!

Stacy
