SV and belly skin/fat issues
First - as of today, I am obese instead of extremely obese! Yay!
Secondly - does anyone have suggestions for undies or support garmets? My hanes cotton ones are very comfortable, but my loose belly needs some containment. I want comfort, but I also need to smoosh all that extra stuff in.
Thanks for any advice!

I like Spanx. They are a little pricey and I don't think I would want to wear them in hot weather. But, when I have to dress up that is what I wear. Just like other undergarments it does hold you in; but, it just pushs up the skin. It has to go somewhere.
Congratuations on being obese!!!! (I never thought I would say that to anyone)

Target has a brand of support wear (Assets) that are made by the same people who make Spanx -- for 1/2 the cost.
I find them to be comfortable-ish --- not as tight as Spanx, but tighter than control-top hose.
I like that I can buy ones that go from waist to above-knee, or waist - mid calf (capri)
At this time of year, I don't want to wear full control-top hose because I don't want my feet covered (I live in Tucson where it is 80 degrees during the day).

Congratulations, it sounds like you are doing great! I can't offer advice on the undergarments, I haven't had surgery or lost enough for that to be an issue yet. I do wear, I believe hanes her way with the non elastic bands and they seem to work for me, but I wear a size bigger than normal to keep any extra belly in and so they don't dig into my sides. My muffin runeth way over but I try to keep it contained that way
Walmart has a brand called "Sweet Nothings" that's pretty good.
If $$ isn't an issue, look for compression wear by UnderArmor.
Spanx is good. Catherine's carries their own brand of spanx.
www.aswechange.com has some stuff.
congrats on only being obese. (I understand.. when I started this I was SMO .. super morbidly obese)

One of our Dollar stores in town - called Dollar General - has a brand of shapers. I bought one on a whim - it was 10 bucks - so I wasn't really expecting much - but I love it - i bought a couple more - b/c I wear it almost everyday. It's just a top - with an underwire bra (I'm too large chested to go without another bra under it). But they're surprisingly good and don't seem to ride up of feel uncomfortable.
